Research & InterestMy research interests are Mixed Reality, Whole-Body Interaction, Augmented Reality, Computer Vision, Storytelling, AI and Interactive Media Arts.
PRESENCCIA This Integrated Project will undertake a Research Programme that has as its major goal the delivery of presence in wide area distributed mixed reality environments (2006-2009)
MIMICS Apply multi-sensorial data analysis of online sensory-motor actions and physiological measures, and multimodal display methods in order to control presence, attention and motivation within immersive virtual environments (2008-2010)
I am a Research Fellow at the EventLAB and just completed my PhD thesis on Whole-Body Interaction in Virtual Environments.
I received my first degree in Artificial Intelligence, funded by the European Union, and then moved on to complete an MRes in Computer Vision and Graphics for which I received a scholarship from the EPSRC.
Before coming to the EventLAB I worked at the Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems for over two years where my work on interaction screens and spaces received wide recognition and was awarded many international science and design prizes. I also did some research on virtual out-of-the-body illusions at UCL.
My research interests are Mixed Reality, Whole-Body Interaction, Augmented Reality, Computer Vision, Storytelling, AI, Interactive Media Arts, Psychology and Psychophysics.
