Research & Interest
Antonella Maselli is a post doc researcher at the EventLAB, University of Barcelona.
She studied Physics and had a long training and research experience in the field of Astrophysics. She obtained her PhD degree from the University of Florence (2005) and spent several years at the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics in Munich (2005-2009), before going back to Florence as a postdoc at the Arcetri Astrophysical Observatory. During this part of her research activity she specialized in the computational modeling of radiative processes and of large scale structure dynamics in the high redshift (distant and young) Universe.
In those years she developed a growing interest in Neuroscience, particularly in the brain processes underlying body perception. She eventually decided to move to this area as soon as she had the opportunity to do so. She is nevertheless still a member of the DAVID collaboration network for the study of Cosmology and the high redshift Universe.
In April 2010, she joined the EventLAV directed Prof. Mel Slater and since then she works as a postdoctoral fellow of the TRAVERSE ERC project.
